Rose Marie Swanson, age 85 of Cozad, died Jan. 31, 2008, at the Gothenburg 
Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Berryman Funeral Home 
in Cozad.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Berryman Funeral Home 
Chapel in Cozad with Pastor Murray Miller of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 
officiating.

Burial will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.

Survivors include her four sons, Galen (Patti) Swanson and Larry Swanson, all 
of Cozad, Dan (Michelle) Swanson of Missouri and Jim (Carolyn) Swanson of 
Omaha; one daughter, Jodie Eckerdt of Loveland, Colo.; one brother, Stanley 
(Bernice) Maline of Wallace; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; two brothers and a sister.

She was born Jan. 20, 1923, at Gothenburg to Godfrey and Lydia (Lindstedt) 
Maline. She attended school in the Gothenburg area. 

In 1946, she married John H. Swanson at Norton, Kan.
