Ferne M. Teetor, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at Gretna. 

Memorial services will be held Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Trinity 
United Methodist Church, 7130 Kentwell Lane in Lincoln with Pastor James 
Keyser officiating.

Burial will be at Ft McPherson National Cemetery at a later date. 
 
Ferne was born on March 19, 1926 in Cozad. She married Arthur Teetor on May 5, 
1946, in Cozad.

Her courage, faith, humor and grace will never be forgotten in her battle with 
cancer and Alzheimers. Ferne was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary 
throughout her life. 

She served as president of Lincoln Unit 3 from 1993-1994, helped with Nebraska 
Girls State and served as chairman of many of the different committees and 
as the 8&40 Departmental Secretaire-Caissiere in 1999. She was an active 
member of the United Methodist church.

Survivors include her sons, Eugene (Ann) of Amarillo Texas, Leon (Nancy) of 
Ithaca, Marvin (Paula) of Omaha and Michael (Vickie) of York; eight 
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ferne was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Teetor; her parents; one 
brother and three sisters
