Vince F. Urban, 63, of Lexington, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Tri-
County Hospital in Lexington after fighting cancer. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 13, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s 
Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Paul Colling officiating.
 
Vince’s body will be cremated following his funeral service.
 
Private Inurnment will be held at a later time in the Elwood Cemetery at 
Elwood.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-
Love Chapel in Lexington.
 
Vince was born Sept. 19, 1947, at Columbus, to Raymond and Libbie (Smrz) 
Urban.  He attended District No. 61 country school near Clarkson, then town 
school through the 11th grade at Clarkson and graduated from Schuyler High 
School with the class of 1965.  

He was united in marriage to Lila (Stoll) Lerdall on Dec. 29, 1997, at Las 
Vegas, Nev. He welcomed Lila’s daughters, Katie and Heidi as his own.
 
Survivors include his wife, Lila Urban of Lexington; two stepdaughters, Katie 
Lerdall of Lexington, Heidi (Shawn) Church of Lexington; one granddaughter, 
Rylee Church of Lexington; one brother, Victor (Jane) Urban of Schuyler; one 
sister, Valeria (Bob) Houfek of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one brother-in-law, Don 
(Marcia) Stoll of Grass Valley, Calif., and nieces and nephews, Sam Urban of 
Kearney, Damion Houfek of Clovis, N.M., Miranda Houfek of Sioux Falls, Darren 
Stoll of Penn Valley, Calif., Kim Smith of Nevada City, Calif., and Stephanie 
Stoll of Portand, Ore.
 
Vince was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Joseph; one niece, 
Angela Urban and his parents-in-law, Elmer and Marguerite Stoll.
