Vowers, 47, of Dix, formerly of Lexington, died June 5, 2011 at her home with her family and the Rev. Amanda Esping at her side. Funeral services were held June 9, 2011 at First English Lutheran Church at Kimball with the Rev. Amanda Esping officiating. Burial was at Kimball Cemetery in Kimball. Lorie was born March 18, 1964 at Lexington to Clarence and Maxine Snurr. She attended Lexington school and graduated in 1982. After school she worked at offices and other jobs in and around Lexington until 1985. She married Mark Coryell on April 30, 1985 in Lexington. To this union was born one daughter and one son. Later, in June 2002, she married John Vowers in Kimball. Lorie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Lexington. Lorie leaves to mourn her passing her husband, John; daughter Jennifer Coryell of Cheyenne, Wyo.; son, Joshua (Kim) Coryell of Fort Carson, Colo.; mother, Maxine Snurr of Lexington, brother, Bradley (Deanna) Snurr of Sedalia, Mo.; two grandchildren and a host of friends and many other relatives. Among those attending the funeral from out of state was her daughter, Jennifer Coryell, a member of US Air Force 153rd Squadron Command Center in Cheyenne. Preceding her in death was her father and her grandparents. Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball was in charge of the arrangements.
