Khoa Tam Vu, 21, of Cozad, died Dec. 12, 2010. 

Services will be held at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad on Sunday, Dec. 19, 
2010 at 2 p.m. with visitation for memorial books signatures to be held one 
hour prior to service time.

He was born Aug. 7, 1989 in Viet Nam, the son of Nguyen and Phuong Vu. Khoa 
and his parents immigrated to Cozad when he was two.

He attended Cozad schools and graduated from Cozad High School in 2008, where 
he excelled in the classroom as well as on the football and soccer field and 
even the wrestling mat. Khoa was a natural athlete. He also loved his guitar 
and hang out with his friends.

Khoa attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in the pursuit of a career 
in medicine.  He wanted to help and heal people. He was enrolled at the 
University of Nebraska at Kearney at the time of his death.

Khoa is survived by his father Nguyen Vu of Cozad; his maternal grandparents, 
Qui Nguyen and Tot Le and his paternal grandparents, Tu and Thuy Vu, Dai 
Nguyen.

He also leaves his aunts and uncles, Danielle and George Liang, Khoi and Mree 
Vu, Thi and Ly Vu, Dinh and Trinh Vu, Thao Vu and Gilberto, his uncles, Hung 
Nguyen and many cousins and other family members who still reside in Viet Nam.

Khoa was preceded in death by his mother, Phuong Vu in January 2010.
