Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, in Gothenburg, with Pastor Tom Rempel officiating. Burial will take place in the Gothenburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 and 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, May 23, with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg. A time of sharing memories of Nola is scheduled for 7-8 pm Friday evening. Survivors include four children, Floyd (Marcy) Wahlgren of Gothenburg, Dale (Cheryln) Wahlgren of North Platte, Connie (Carl) Spence of Papillion and Roger (Carol) Wahlgren of Gothenburg; 11 grandchildren, Lorri, Lisa, Daniel, Kristi, Joe, Charles, Robyn, Ross, Michael, Karrie and Shannon and their spouses; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Burton (Betty) McPheeters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1991; a granddaughter, Cindy (Mrs. Jeff Ristine); a great-grandson, Connor Goode; and a sister, Nina Rummel. Nola was born on March 27, 1920 at Gothenburg, to Ira and Pearl (Grady) McPheeters. She grew up in Gothenburg and graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1938.
