Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church in Cozad with Father Don O’Brien as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be held at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held on Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday at Christ The King Catholic Church. Dick was born Aug. 3, 1934 at Dearborn, Mich., to Henry and Hazel (Kolb) Weber. Dick graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School at Detroit, Mich., in 1954. He went on to attend the University of Detroit and the American Institute of Banking. In April of 1957, Richard entered the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he returned to Michigan where he pursued a career in banking. On July 3, 1958, he married Vicki Joan Leece at Lovewell, Kan. The couple made their home in Detroit. In 1974, the family moved to the Superior area. In 1979, they relocated to Cozad where Dick was employed with Tenneco Automotive. He retired in 1996, after nearly 20 years of service. Dick was a long-time member of Christ The King Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle (Steve) Tellus of Cozad; six sons, Jeff (Kim) Weber of Hastings, Doug Weber of Ogallala, Brian (Lila) Weber of Cozad, Kevin (Mindy) Weber of Belleville, Kan., David (Dove) Weber of Superior, Chris (Bobbie) Weber of Schleswig, Iowa; sister, Barb (Ken) Snella of Dalton, Mass.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fr. Fabian Weber in 2001.
