BeDunnah officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell. Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 6, from 2-5 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ed (Pat) Weichel of Kearney; two brothers, Clarence (Mary) Weichel of Windsor, Colo., Gordon (Clarky) Weichel of Hudson, Colo.; two grandchildren, Kim Stengel of Kearney, and Mark Weichel of Lexington; three great-grandchildren, Jamie (Dan) Turner of Kearney and Kelsey and Tanner Stengel of Kearney; one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Turner of Kearney; niece, Kerry Widick of Gothenburg and other nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred “Dodi” Weichel in October of 2005; and two sisters. He was born Oct. 18, 1914, at Clinton, Mo., to Aaron Benjamin and Anna Lydia (Epperson) Weichel. Ralph was united in marriage to Mildred “Dodi” Duncan on Oct. 23, 1934, at Sterling, Colo.
