Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with the Rev. Jorge Canela officiating.   Burial will be in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery at Lexington.   Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. with Wake/Rosary Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.  He was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Lexington, the son of Lawrence and Ruth (Wickwire) Weides.   Paul lived in Denver and retired from the University of Colorado Medical Center in 2006, after 28 years of devoted service. He was so proud of the fact that he received Employee of the Month twice.   He spent his formative years in Lexington and upon graduation he attended North Platte School of Commerce and then continued his education at Omaha Secretarial School. He worked in Omaha, Sioux City and Lexington and moved to Colorado in 1978. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and the week before his passing he took several Bronco posters out to his friends at the University Hospital.   Survivors include five brothers, Dan (Lynn) Weides of Scott City, Kan., Larry and (Cheryl) Weides of Wauwatosa, Wis., Dale (Kathy) Weides of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Jim Weides of Scottsdale, Ariz., Steve (Connie) Weides of Lexington; one sister, Maggie (Chuck) Morrison of Scott City, Kan., and 14 nieces and nephews and one great-great-nephew, all of whom Paul loved dearly.   He is also survived by two aunts, Helen Young of Lexington and Kathleen Maher of Denison, Iowa and numerous cousins.   Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ruth Weides and two nieces, Amy and Staci.   File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ne/dawson/obits/w/weides399gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nefiles/ File size: 2.4 Kb
