Michael Wayne Werger, 60, of Johnson Lake, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at his 
home at Johnson Lake.

The family has honored Mike’s wishes that his body be cremated.  There will be 
no visitation.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at 
Parkview Baptist Church in Lexington with Pastor John Shields officiating
 
He was born Dec. 4, 1950, in Lincoln, to Gerald and Kathryn (Blecha) Werger.
 
Mike graduated from Waverly High School with the class of 1969.He was united 
in marriage to Deborah Foreman on June 3, 1972, in Lincoln.  Two sons were 
blessed to this marriage, Michael Earl and Joshua Neil.  
 
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Werger of Johnson Lake; two sons, Michael 
Earl (Crystal) Werger of Elwood, Joshua Neil (Christy) Werger of Castle Rock, 
Colo.; two brothers, Steve (Terri) Werger of Bennett, Jack (Christine) Werger 
of Eagle, one sister, Joan Nelson of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Caleb and 
Joshua Werger and Skyler, Stormi and Sierra Werger; grandchildren by choice, 
Taylor, Emma, Aly and Mandy Roberts and Lexi Fudge, Carsen and Hayden Lacey 
and mother-in-law, Betty Foreman of Lincoln.
 
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Gerald and father-
in-law, Earl Foreman.
