White, 84, of Lexington, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Good Samaritan in Kearney. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, with Rev. Michael Gruhn officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Lexington. Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, which is in charge of arrangements. Lee was born on Dec. 23, 1921, in Furnas County, to Clarence and Mary (Lehman) White. He grew up and attended school in Stamford. On Aug.5, 1942, Lee entered the United States Air Force 351st Bomb Group. While in the Air Force, he served in World War II and the European Theater, stationed in England. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 8, 1945, with the rank of Sergeant. On April 9, 1950, he married Deloris Marble in Stamford. To this union three sons, Timothy, Curtis, Terry, and daughter Coleen were born. The family moved to Lexington in 1958. He worked at Monroe’s Auto Equipment for 25 years retiring in December 1986. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and past member of the American Legion in Stamford. Survivors include his wife, Deloris White of Lexington; three sons, Tim White of Overton, Curtis (Charmeen) White of Kearney, and Terry (Helen) White of Kearney; a daughter, Coleen (Calvin) Harmoney of Amherst; sisters, Minnie Mintzmyer of Orleans, Viola Covey of Alma, Helen Martin of Beaver City, and Dorothy Hinze of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers, and two sisters.
