C. Duane White, age 69 of Gering, died Wednesday, April 30, at Regional West 
Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at Dugan Kramer 
Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ed Hunzeker officiating. Interment will follow at 
West Lawn Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 from 1-6 p.m. at the 
chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Fran; one son, Mikel White of Morrill; one 
daughter, Kim (Michael) Gutierrez of Scottsbluff, grandchildren, Jas, Ashleigh 
and Chance White, Lacey Fleenor, Kacey Fleenor and fiancé Kayla Salazar and 
Amalie Guiterrez; one sister, Lois Shoop of Cozad; longtime family friend, 
March Harbour; lifetime friend, Al Chandler; good friend and neighbor, Arnold 
Mendoza; sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, 
cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and lifelong friend (they called 
themselves avid brothers) Bill Rosengren.

He was born on June 12, 1938 in Ft. Collins, Colo., to Ora and Violet (Parker) 
White. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1956, and married Frances 
Marie Potter in Lexington in 1957.
