Elva Williams, age 96, of Cozad, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at the Elwood 
Care Center.

Memorial Services were held Monday, Feb. 18, at the Church of Christ on Newell 
Street in Cozad, with Mike Dennis officiating. 

Visitation was Sunday at the Berryman Funeral Home.

Burial was at the Cozad Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Alan (Lynette) Williams of Richardson, Texas; a 
daughter, Carolyn (Wayne) Jobman of Livonia, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 12 
great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson and a daughter-in-law, Beverly 
Williams of Cozad.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and a son, Chauncey “Terry” 
Williams in 2007.

She was born June 29, 1911, at Smith County, Kan., to William and Olive 
(Miller) Power. She graduated from Cozad High School in 1930.

On Dec. 15, 1934, she married Chauncey R. Williams.
