He is the son of James and Anna (Hussie) Attwood, the former a native of Toddington, Bedfordshire, England, born November 30, 1851. He was a liverymen and engaged in the retail hardware business with the John Hussie Hardware Company. He came to America in 1867 and located on the Brewster farm at Irvington, Nebraska, later moving to Omaha. He died at Hawthorne, California, January 14, 1931. His wife, Anna Hussie, was born at Chicago, on May 15, 1863. She taught school in the district school at French Town, Nebraska, and at Neligh, Nebraska. She was also a teacher of art and music in Omaha. Her father was a moulder in the Union Pacific Shops and later engaged in the hardware business in Omaha for 45 years. Dr. Attwood attended Holy Family School in Omaha, and St. James in Chicago. Later he entered Creighton Preparatory and received his M. D. from Creighton University in 1920. He is a member of Phi Rho Sigma. From 1904-12 he was a salesman for the John Hussie Hardware Company. Since 1920 he has been a practicing physician, and since 1921 professor of physiology at Creighton Dental College. He is also of professor physiology and anatomy at the St. Joseph Hospital Schoo1 of Nursing, at Omaha. He was married to May Hyacinth Jacobson at Omaha, on August 7, 1920. • Mrs. Attwood was born at Omaha, May 1 1887. She is of Danish descent. Dr. Attwood served as a private in the medical corps of the Creighton Student Army Training Corps during the World War. He is a member of the American Legion, and a captain in the Reserve Officers of the Medical Corps, and captain medical department detachment 134th Infantry. He is a Catholic, and a member of the Holy Name Church. He is a member of the Creighton Alumni Association, a member of the staff of St. Joseph’s and Lord Lister Hospitals. He belongs to the American Chemical Association, the Woodmen of the World, and the Nebraskana Society. Hos favorite sport is riding. His hobby is mechanics. Residence: Omaha.
