The Nebraska State Journal Fri Nov 6, 1874

Married -- At Omaha by Judge W. L. Peabody, at his
residence, August 4th, 1874, Mr. P. C. Childs, 
salesman in the establishment of Jacobs Bros. &
Oakley, and Mrs. Martha Bowers, eldest daughter 
of John J Boeman, Esq, of this city, late of
Bucyrus, Ohio. The happy couple returned to this
city and have quietly enjoyed their honey moon
in an unostentious mannaer. All the many
aquaintances of the bride and groom will wish
them a long life of wedded bliss. We trust they
will make Lincoln their permanent home, where
Mrs. Childs has long resided with her father's
family, and made many friends.
