Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Ohiowa. He is survived by his sisters, Elnora and Ed Schulz, Oxnard, Calif.; Virginia Vavra, Lincoln; Delight (Archie) Chapman of Geneva; Gloria (Hal) Mullison of Flat Rock, N.C.; daughters, Sue (Matt) Williams of Gothenburg; Diana (Scott) Kline of West Jordan, Utah; sons, George (Mindy) Wright of Lincoln; and Mike Wright of Lexington; stepsons, Steven Wythers of Lincoln, Mark Wythers of Geneva; Dave (Jeanie) Wythers, Fairmont; Todd (Carol) Wythers of Geneva; stepdaughter, Kellee (Roger) Edgar, Papillion; grandchildren, Robert Williams, Julie Rickertsen, Chad Robinson, Shelby Robinson, Lindsey Clinton, Matt Wright, Shelly Sund; step grandchildren, Conly, Micah, Jana, Chad, Gabrielle, Daniel Wythers, Nicole Edgar and great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Maddox, Jax Richertsen; Addison, Harlee Sund; Max Wright; Cadin Clinton. Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ruth Wright, sisters/brothers-in-law, Faye Wright and Ruth and Keith Ozenbaugh, Milt Vavra and daughter, Lila Wright. Norman Warren Wright, Jr. was born to Norman and Ruth (West) Wright on July 24, 1924 at the family farm west of Ohiowa. Norm was baptized at the Ohiowa Methodist Church where he attended church and Sunday School until 1941. He joined the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Geneva, in 1975. Norm attended Goldenrod country school and graduated from Ohiowa High School in 1941. Norm was married to Beth Bowman of Bruning, and to them five children were born. This marriage dissolved in 1974. He farmed for eight years and took a job with Cargill, Inc., Minn., Minnesota at Lexington. He was a Cargill sales manager and stayed with them for 37 years. Norm married Beverly Heston Wythers of Geneva, July 3, 1975. Their blended family included Norm’s children and Beverly’s five children. They were married 32 years.
