Frank David Sanger, 87, of Franklin, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Franklin
County Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at Macon Zion Lutheran Church in
Macon with the Rev. Baron Cole officiating.  Visitation was Sunday at Hutchins
Funeral Home.  Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.  

Frank is survived by his wife Ethel of the home; sons Warren (Dixie) Sanger,
Ashland and Alan Carol) Sanger of Kearney; daughter, Debra (Larry) Anderson of
Clarks; grandchildren, Travis Sanger and fiancee Jessica Botts of Pukwana, S.D.,
Nathan and Matt Anderson of Clarks, Eric Sanger, Melissa (Jason) Jacobs, all of
Kearney; great-grandchild, Christian Jacobs of Kearney; Brother Anno (Jaulene)
Sanger of 29 Palms, Calif., and a sister, Jeannette Paxton of Staten Island, N.Y. 

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, David and Hannah Sanger and his
brothers John and Elmer Sanger.

Frank was born Feb. 9, 1922 at the Sanger family farm home northeast of Franklin. 
  
He attended school at District No. 34.  He was baptized and confirmed in the
Macon Zion Lutheran Church and remained a member there all his life.  On May 28,
1944 Frank was united in marriage to Ethel Trambly in Franklin.  They made their
home northeast of Franklin.  They lived there until they moved to Franklin in
May 1988.  To this union three children were born, Warren, Alan, and Debra. 
 
He served on the school board, township board, Zion Lutheran Church board, and
served as a Franklin County Supervisor for 10 years.
