Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery south of Cozad. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. Survivors include his wife, Glenda of Eustis; two daughters, Kim LaRae (Rodney) Easterday of Eustis, Dawn O’Day (Mike) Hecox of Cozad; two brothers, Don (Janet) Fleischmann of Cozad, David (Becky) Fleischmann of Alma; two sisters, Dee (Kenny) Lusk of North Platte, Debra (Rusty) Westbrook of Elwood; sister-in-law, Sharon Fleischmann of Pocatello, Idaho and seven grandchildren, Elisha (Bryan) Gengenbach of Chandler, Ariz., Breann Morlang, Kayelon Easterday and Jaimee Easterday all of Eustis, Ashton Hecox of Lincoln, Tarron and Cullon Hecox both of Cozad. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dick. He was born May 21, 1940, at Cozad, to Gilbert and Margaret (Pumroy) Fleischmann. He graduated from Cozad High School in 1958. Following his graduation, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. On Christmas Day in 1960, he married Glenda L. Fasse of Eustis, in North Platte. Following his discharge, the couple made their home south of Eustis where they farmed and ranched their entire married life. Dan also worked for Cargill Seed Co. in sales for a number of years. Throughout the years Dan remained active in his church, The Restoration Branch of the Reorganized Branch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; serving as minister of their church in Cozad for nearly 20 years.
