Merle D. Hayes, age 76 of Eustis, died May 2, 2011 at his home in Eustis.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the 
Westview Cemetery at Eustis, followed by a time of food and fellowship at the 
Darn Small Pub in Eustis.

There will be no visitation.

Merle was born Aug. 17, 1934 on the Hayes family farm southwest of Eustis.  
Merle attended the Earl Country School through the eighth grade.

In the early 1970s, Merle married Betty “Boots” Dubas. They divorced a short 
time later.

Survivors include his aunt, Olive Bradley of Bertrand.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents.
