A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eustis with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating. Inurnment with military honors will be in the East Cemetery at Eustis. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held on Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church in Eustis. Edward was born, Nov. 1, 1927 at the farm, to Gustav A. Hueftle and Dora Timm Hueftle. He was baptized Jan, 6, 1928 and confirmed March 17, 1940 at the Eustis Methodist Church. He was married July 26, 1953 in North Platte to Bonnie Weakly of Newell, S.D. To this union were born three children; Dr. Stacey J. Stockdill, Kent W. Hueftle and Ann Annette Hueftle (deceased). Greg Stockdill joined the family on Aug. 4, 1984. Edward and Bonnie were married 58 years. He is survived by his children; one brother, Karl (Janice) Hueftle of Cozad; three sisters, Doris (John) Frazier of Fort Lupton, Colo., Dora (Verlin) Livingston of Broadwater, Lola (Jim) McConnel of Lincoln, sister-in-law, Shirley Dean of North Platte; brother-in-law, Ed Weakly of Elko, Nev., and 53 nieces and nephews. His parents; one sister, Elmyra Hueftle; two brothers-in-law, Richard Kumpula, Glenn Dean; one sister in law, Donna Kumpula and one child, Ann Annette, preceded him in death.
