Memorial services will be held at 11 .am. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eustis with Pastor Beverly Rautenberg-Panko officiating. She was born Feb. 15, 1934 on the family farm south of Eustis to Albert and Margaret (Meyer) Siekjost. In her youth she developed a gentle love of nature and enjoyed working on the farm, which has now been family owned and operated for more than a century. In 1951 she graduated from Eustis High School and later worked as a rural school teacher. On Oct. 23, 1952 she and Herbert Koch were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eustis where they had been baptized and confirmed. The couple made their home on a farm near the northeast edge of Eustis where they raised their three children: Kira (Chris) Larsen of Lexington, Kevan (Jamie) Koch and their family of Eustis, and Kraig Koch of Littleton, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, in October of 2006; her parents; sister, Elizabeth; brothers-in law, Walter, Harold and Elmer Koch; sisters-in-law, Ellen Schutz and Emma Jurjens.
