Memorial services will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eustis with Pastor Beverly Rautenburg-Panko officiating. A private family inurnment will be in the East Cemetery at Eustis. There will be no visitation. Henry was born Dec. 12, 1914, five miles northwest of Eustis to Henry and Eleonora (Koch) Roether, Sr. Henry attended District 75 rural school in Dawson County before graduating from Eustis High School in 1933. On Aug. 19, 1940, Henry married LaRue V. Gengenbach at Reno, Nev. The couple’s union was blessed with two daughters, Linda and Lana. Henry is survived by his wife, LaRue Roether of Eustis; daughters, Linda (Bill) Hinkle of Albuqurque, N.M., and Lana Morganflash of Christensted, Virgin Islands; grandchildren, Sandy (Steve) Taylor, Michelle (Wally) Martin, Beth Hinkle, J.J. (Amy) League, Al (Wendy) League; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Henry was preceded by his parents; two sisters, Ruth and Esther and two brothers, George and Dan.
