Theodore R “Ted” Scholl, age 80, of Kearney, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at the 
Good Samaritan Hospital.  

Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the 
St. James Catholic Church.  Burial will be at the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery 
near Lexington at 2 p.m.  

A rosary service will be Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at 7 p.m. at St. James 
Catholic Church. 

Visitation will be Wednesday for one hour prior to the Rosary Service and one 
hour prior to the service on Thursday at St. James Catholic Church.  

Ted was born Jan. 11, 1931 in Haxtun, Colo., to Carl F. and W. Marie 
Schmeekle.  

Ted married Veronica J. Fagot on June 27, 1955 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in 
Lexington.  

Surviving relatives include his wife, Veronica Scholl of Kearney; son, Brad 
(Kathleen) Scholl of Atlanta, Ga.; son-in-law, Rick Devlin of St. Louis, Mo.; 
grandchildren, Shannon, Eric and Ryan Devlin of St. Louis, Mo., Steven and 
Caitlin Scholl of Atlanta, Ga., and sisters, Esther Schmeekle of Leavenworth, 
Kan., Judy (John) O’Brien of Circle, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Karen Devlin.
