Services will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eustis with the Revs. Neil Kloppenborg and Tess Hufford officiating. Burial will be in the East Cemetery at Eustis. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eustis. Dorothy was born Aug. 25, 1927 west of Eustis, to Christ William and Leah Pouline (Boerkircher) Buehner. Dorothy was both baptized and confirmed in the United Methodist Church in Eustis. She attended rural school six miles west of Eustis, eventually graduating from Eustis High School in 1944. Dorothy married Dean Weissert at Eustis on Sept. 21, 1963. Dorothy had one son, Jeffrey Dean Weissert, and three step-children, Joyce Day, Carolyn Schwarz and Brent Weissert. Dorothy taught Sunday school and had belonged to the Methodist Women and Legion Auxiliary for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Raymond; and sister, Irene Easterday. She leaves to mourn her husband, Dean Weissert of Eustis; son, Jeffrey (Tami) Weissert of Lincoln; three step-children, Joyce (Dennis) Day of Beatrice, Carolyn (Jonathan) Schwarz of Lincoln, and Brent Weissert of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Mary Gerten, Tom (Denise) Lampe, Jeremy (Brooke) Schwarz and Jennifer Schwarz; eight great-grandchildren, Mia, Elise, Sarah, Coy and Kai Gerten, as well as Caroline, Hana and Olivia Lampe; sister, Lorene (Leonard) Easterday of Buhl, Idaho and many other relatives and friends.
