Funeral services were held on Monday, April 7, 2008, at St. Germanus Catholic Church in Arapahoe, with committal in the Arapahoe Cemetery, with Father Robert Barnhill and Father Lou Nollette officiating. Survivors include his wife, Martha of Elwood; three sons, Tony (Keri) of Alma, Tim (Pam) of Kimball, Todd (Shalene) of Elwood; three daughters, Tammy (Harlan) Grunden of Curtis, Tonna (Ron) Drudik of Ord, Trudy (Mike) Nolles of Bassett; sister Garnet Sanders of Casper, Wyo.; sisters-in-law, Nada Bell Anderson of Kearney and Mary Graf of A-rapahoe; 15 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren; num-erous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Verne, Clarke, Lynne; and two sisters, Vera Ziebell and Clara Rosfeld. William was born on Nov. 27, 1928, to William Leroy and Meryl Joy (Whistler) Anderson in rural Gosper County. He was the youngest of seven children. Bill, as he came to be called, attended grammar school at Homerville, and graduated from Elwood High School in 1946. On Feb. 27, 1954, Bill was united in marriage to Martha Mayer at St. Germanus Catholic Church in Arapahoe. To this union, three boys and three girls were born, commonly known as the “6 T’s”, Tony, Tim, Todd, Tammy, Tonna, and Trudy.
