Bonnie D Wendland-Pfeiffer, age 72, of Elwood, formerly of Holbrook died 
Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008 at the Elwood Care Center, Elwood.

Visitation was Friday at the Funeral Home and prior to the service at the 
church.

Funeral services will be(today) Saturday, Feb. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity 
Lutheran Church, in Arapahoe, with the Rev. David Otten, officiating. Burial 
will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery.

Wenburg Funeral Home, of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle Pfeiffer of Holbrook; son, LeRoy 
(Kristine) Wendland of Elwood; daughters, Elizabeth Heckenlively & friend 
Jerry Olbricht of Scottsbluff and Diann (Steve) Cooksley of Elwood; 
grandchildren, Jamie (Jimmie) Vann of Bonham, Texas, Kelly Cooksley of 
Kearney, Sydney Cooksley of Fremont, Logan Wendland of Elwood, Taylor Cooksley 
of Elwood; great-grandchildren, Adria and Canden of Bonham, Texas; sister, 
Donna (Leland) McCoy of Arapahoe, brother-in-law, Wayne Sander of Elwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert, and sister, Connie 
Rae Sander. 

She was born on May 9, 1935 at Arapahoe, to Walter L. and D. Velma (Dunlap) 
Breinig. 

She was baptized into faith in 1943, at the First United Methodist Church in 
Arapahoe. She graduated from Arapahoe High School with the Class of 1953. On 
June 15,1957 she was united in marriage to Robert J. Wendland at Immanuel 
Lutheran Church, north of Arapahoe. 

On Oct. 17,1995, her husband Robert passed away. She then married Lyle 
Pfeiffer in December 1998.
