Hazel Mae Sitlington, 96, of Holdrege, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at the 
Holdrege Memorial Homes.

Graveside services and interment for Hazel M. Sitlington will be conducted 
from the Robb Cemetery, southeast of Lexington in Gosper County on Wednesday, 
April 20, 2011 at 2 with the Rev. Dr. W. Kirwin Stewart, Jr., officiating. 

Visitation will be held at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on 
Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. with Order of Eastern Star Rite 
at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hazel was born Feb.18, 1915 on a farm southeast of Lexington, the daughter of 
Stephen and Nellie (Ruby) Cole.  She graduated from Lexington High School.

On June 12, 1948 she was united in marriage to Paul N. Sitlington, Jr. of 
Kansas City, Mo.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was active with 
the Presbyterian Women’s Association.  She was also a member of the Order of 
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and a 
brother, Elbert Cole.  She leaves to mourn her passing a host of special 
friends.
