Barbara Ann Wade, age 66 of Johnson Lake, died May 16, 2008 at the Tri-County 
Hospital in Lexington.

Services were held Tuesday, May 20, at the First Christian Church in Elwood 
with Pastor Linda Newman officiating.  Burial was in the Elwood Cemetery.

Visitation for memorial book signatures was Monday, May 19, at the church. 
Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; two sons, Tim (Allison) Wamsley of Salt 
Lake City, Utah, and Scott (Debra) Wamsley of Grand Island; one daughter, 
Sheri (Rick) Ballhorst of Grand Island; two step-sons, Greg Wade of Elm Creek 
and Todd Wade of Lincoln; one step-daughter, Sonia (Randy) Howard of 
Lexington; one brother, Pepper Morris of Fremont; mother-in-law, Alice Wade of 
Elwood; an uncle, L.D. (Bertie) Wright of Kansas; two brothers-in-law, Rod 
Hays of Omaha and Myron Dawson of Elwood; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Morris of 
Fremont and Marilyn Dawson of Elwood; Five grandchildren; ten step-
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and several 
nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one great-grandson; 
two aunts; two uncles; and her sister, Pat. 
     
She was born Jan.8, 1942 at North Platte, to Pep and Lee (Wright) Morris.
 
In November of 1960, she married Chuck Wamsley of North Platte and the couple 
moved to Utah in 1961. To this union three children were born, Tim, Sheri, and 
Scott.  Tim and Sheri were born in Ogden, Utah, Scott was born in Salt Lake 
City, Utah. Following a divorce in 1974, Barb returned to Nebraska.  In March 
of 1984, she married Robert Wade.
