The Evangelical United Brethren Church was erected here in 1892 but burned down on Dec 24, 1961. There is a stone marker commemorating the Church and behind the now vacant churchyard is the Prairie Gem Cemetary. In 1998, when I visited, there were less than 20 headstones remaining. My Great Grandparents Magers are said to be buried here, but no stone exists for them. Below is the listing of those buried as the records indicate. This is only a partial listing as many markers have been damaged or removed.
