His father, born at North Sydney, Nova Scotia, October 19, 1845, died at Kearney, October 3, 1928. He was a veteran of the Civil War, a lawyer and a member of the Nebraska legislature. His ancestry was English and Scotch. His wife, Mary Frances, was born at Quincy, Florida, June 1, 1848, and died at Kearney, October 10, 1922. An especially active clubwoman, she was of Scotch descent. Kenneth Rae Andrews attended public school and was graduated from high school on May 28, 1890. For a number of years he has been engaged in the real estate business at Kearney, and from 1916-20, served as mayor, elected on the Republican ticket. From 1898 to 1902, Mr. Andrews held the rank of captain in the Nebraska National Guard. He is a member of the Red Cross, the Elks, the Nebraskana Society, and the Kearney Country Club. His favorite sport is golfing, and his hobby is reading. Residence: Kearney.
