Cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Survivors include her son, Gary Anderson of Lemoyne; her brother Franklin Lunney of Aurora, Colo.; two granddaughters, Joy (Dario) Brisighella of Logan, Utah, Sandy O’ Banion of Gunnison, Colo., and one grandson, Greg Anderson of Ogallala. Preceding her in death were four sisters, Lucina Enfield, Georgia Wood, Francis Davenport and Dorothy Mulbarger. Virginia was born April 28, 1917 in Ord, the daughter of Ray and Maud Lane Burdick. She lived in Ogallala with her sister, Georgia Wood, and attended Ogallala High School. Virginia married Ted Anderson and the couple moved to Winner, S.D., where they operated an electrical repair business. In 1942 Virginia moved to Grand Island and was employed in the Cornhusker Ordnance plant. She married Holger “Skeeter” Foged in Cozad in 1943. They farmed until his death in 1969. In 1970, Virginia married Jack Dillard in Lexington. They moved to Sun City, Ariz., to follow the Senior Golf Tour. Virginia served on the board of West Valley Art Museum in Sun City. Later she was an antique appraiser for J and M Estate Sales. Due to ill health, she returned to Ogallala in 2007 to be closer to her family.
