Her father was born at Buffalo, New York, and died at Cheyenne, Wyoming, January 26, 1888. He was a stockman. His father was Irish and his mother English of the Peacock family of Buffalo, a relative of Sir Walter Peacock of London, England. Mary Ann Shields was born in Illinois, August 2, 1853, and died at Pine Bluff, Wyoming, February 19, 1906. Her father was German and her mother English. The family were early pioneers in Nebraska. Emma Tracy attended public school at Ogden, Utah, Grand Island, Nebraska, and Cheyenne, Wyoming. On November 5, 1902, she was married to Horace Churchill Amos, a stockman. He was born at Racine, Wisconsin, May 7, 1877. There are two children, Marjorie, born April 3, 1907; and Marian, born May 7, 1912. Marjorie is stenographer for the American State Bank. Marian is graduated from high school. Mr. Amos is a member of the Episcopal Church and a life member of the Nebraskana Society. Residence: Kimball.
