Jackson Sentinel, Sept. 27, 1888 

DIED- 
The remains of J. D. Dickinson were brought to this city from Malcomb, 
Nebraska, where he died on the 7th inst. and were interred in Mt. Hope 
cemetery last Monday under the charge of Jackson Lodge No. 8, I.O.O.F.. The 
deceased was born in 1805 and died from the infirmaties of old age. Some 
thirty years ago he resided on a fam east of Maquoketa. He has three children 
living-a widowed daughter who kept house for him in Nebraska, a son in Tipton 
and one in Chicago, all three of whom were present at the last sad rites.
