A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Ruth was born on Oct.11, 1915 on the family farm near Axtell, the oldest of three children of Carl Victor and Hulda Christine (Hagge) Larson.   Ruth was married for nearly 65 years to Robert Dyke of Sidney. The couple was united in marriage on July 30, 1939. They worked in education, living in Harvard, Culbertson, Lexington and Lincoln, retiring in 1980. Her husband preceded her in death in 2004.  Ruth was a member of the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Lincoln. She was a member of PEO and a member of LARTA. She loved playing bridge, cooking, reading, and traveling.   Ruth leaves to mourn her passing her son, Dr. David (Elaine) Dyke of Lincoln; daughter, Katherine Jim) Beebe, of Rockwall, Texas; four grandchildren, Dr. Christopher (Ankie) Dyke of Anchorage, Alaska, Jennifer (Brennan) Gourdie of Seattle, Wash., Tony (Joyce) Beebe of Houston, Texas, Melissa (Kevin) Kemp of Royce City, Texas; four great grandchildren, Clay and Cole Kemp and Amelie and Dawson Dyke.
