F. L. Rozelle and his wife, who are now conducting revival services at the First Baptist Church. Of Mr. Rozelle The Journal spoke at length yesterday. He certainly is an unique and very effective speaker, pleading only the old fashioned gospel of God's love for man as revealed in Christ, the Saviour of men. Some passages of his talk last night were thrillingly interesting, and v ery impressive. [photo has been submitted to the Archives, check photos] He has a very efficient assistant in his wife who has been for years a zealous Christian worker, and the soprano leader in one of the leading churches of Des Moines. Her singing is truly the "gospel on wings." The efforts of these two workers will probably be abundantly blessed in the mission they have on hand. [photo has been submitted to the Archives, check photos] There was a large attendance last night for a Monday night meeting, the large auditorium of the church being three-fourths full. Mrs. Rozelle sang "The Bird With The Broken Wing" with marvellous effect. Mr. Rozelle delivered a special talk to the members of the church about removing all difficulties between themselves and the coming of the spirit of God. The meeting closed at 9. He expects to meet the members of the church today at 4 and will preach at 8 o'clock. Praise service at 7:30.
