He has a barrel, they agree, but it isn't a hogshead. The property is supposed to be worth about three-quarters of a million, not three millions, as has been reported. Mr. Neville has organized the whole state and has a corps of stenographers under the direction of some clever politician putting up the strongest kind of fight for the democratic nomination for governor. He can afford the luxury. -------------- This North Platter says that Neville will receive strong support at home. "Neville is our wealthiest and most prominent young man," he added. "His father was William Neville, former congressman. His mother was the daughter of Morell C. Keith, not the Keith that Keith county was named for, but a heavy owner of town property and land near North Platte. Most of the land on both sidse of the track frrom the North Platte yards to Maxwell belongs to this estate. Some saloon property is also owned by the young man, but I know that he would like to have other tenants. ------------------ "Keith Neville's mother died when he was born. The grandfather, Mr. Keith took the baby and raised him as his own, and when he died left all his property in trust for him when he should reach twenty-five. Congressman Neville did not interfere, but on the death of the grandfather took his boy east and put him in college. The young man married the daughter of a fine Virginia family, and has greatly increased the value of his property since coming into full possession of it. He is the president of a tarpon fishing club in Florida, and would be doewn there as usual this winter if he hadn't been summoned to Omaha and invited to make this fight. He has been looking for this opportunity for a long time, and was ready when the call came to get into game with plenty of money and lots of nerve. ---------------- "Neville is about thirty-six years of age. Has three children. His affiliation is with the Episcopal chuurch. Personally he is dry. He is interested in the schools, he is a leading bank director and the owner of valuable North Platte business property. He will get some dry votes in North Platte, because we believe he will enforce the law, no matter what it may be."
