The Omaha Sunday Bee Feb 10, 1907
  NORTH PLATTE--David Day, one of North Platte's pioneers,
died at the home of his son, John H. Day. Mr. Day had
nearly reached the age of 86 and his general health was
apparently good until about three weeks ago. He for many
years was a high class machinist in the local shops.
The funeral will be held at the Episcopal church
Sunday afternoon.



Additional Comments:
Date has been double checked, this notice appears in
1907. Headstone shows 1906. Year on stone is obviously
1 year out.
"The Cemetery on Decoration Day" posted on the Lincoln Co. USGenWeb Archives 
cemeteries, show that as of 1909 he did not have a stone, it was put down 
later and the date is a year out.
