             DIED IN NEBRASKA
              Warren Lloyd

NORTH PLATTE, Neb., April 16.--(Special)-- Warren Lloyd of
this city, owner and manager of the opera house and one of
the oldest engineers on the Union Pacific, died last night
of pneumonia, at the age of seventy-four years. He commenced 
railroading in 1850, and has been an engineer almost 
constantly ever since in various parts of the country. He
assisted in the construction of the Panama railroad in 
1851-52. After working upon several roads in the east as 
engineer on the Union Pacific where he has ever since been
continually employed until a few years ago when he quit
railroading to attend to his opera house business.
