Virgil Stapp, age 70 of Cozad, died April 26, 2008 at the University of 
Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Berryman Funeral 
Home Chapel in Cozad with Jeremy Jech officiating.  Burial will be in Ft. 
McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Berryman Funeral 
Home in Cozad.

Survivors include his two sons, Mark (Karri) Stapp of Cozad and John Stapp of 
Gretna; daughter, Lisa (Gary) Archer of Morse Bluff; sister, Kathy (Jerry) 
Tomasek of Green Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann in 1994; parents; sister, Kay; 
and brother, Jerry.

He was born June 2, 1937 at Caldwell, Idaho, to Arnold and Leta (Hampson) 
Stapp.  He graduated from Cozad High School in 1955.

On Sept. 15, 1962, he married Betty Ann Mulligan.
