Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Odean Colonial Chapel At C and Sycamore in North Platte with Marcia Dorn of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation is on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and before service time at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore. Trena was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Poole, to Ivan R. and Anna Henrietta Tatem Edson and attended school in Farnam. On Sept.14, 1935, Trena married Willis Orvin ‘Bill’ Stevenson at McCook. They farmed north of Holbrook until moving to Wallace in 1953. In 1954, they moved to Hershey where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Trena and Bill owned and operated the Hershey Cafe. She later worked in North Platte at Montgomery Ward before retiring. Trena was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Platte and was active with the Hershey Senior Center for many years during retirement. She is survived by two daughters, Betty (John) Hellmuth of Hershey and Diane (Bob) Adams of Lexington; four grandchildren, Jason (Loretta) Hellmuth, Janice (Neal) Creekpaum, Jared (Brandi) Hellmuth and Scott (Brandy) Seybold; two step- grandsons, Mike (Alyssa) Adams and Andy Adams and his special friend, Tisha Lee; eight great-grandchildren, Bryson and Baylor Hellmuth, Amanda and Ryan Hellmuth, Cheyenne Seybold and Jaelynn, Adyn and Mekenea Adams and other family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis, in 1995; her parents; a son- in-law, Neil Seybold; three brothers, Cr. ‘Doc’, Earl and George Edson; and three sisters, Grace Schultheiss, Dorothy Craig and Ruby Carmin.
