The deceased came to North Platte about thirty years ago, and for many years worked as a blacksmith in the Union Pacific shops. He served as a mayor of the city for a term or two and was twice elected councilman from his ward. Mr. Wilson was an upright man, a consistent member of the Presbyterian church and a good citizen. He had been for many years an active member of the Masonic lodge, and the funeral will be under the suspices of that order. The deceased was sixty-seven years of age and leaves a wife and one son, the latter living in Chicagom to mourn th eloss of a kind husband and father.
