Gerald W. “Jerry” Elliott, age 84 of Norfolk, formerly of Lexington, died
Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Norfolk. 

Private inurnment will be held at a later date as it was Jerry’s wish to be
cremated. There will be no viewing or public services.

Jerry is survived by three daughters, Connie (Steve) Bender of Augusta, Ga., Peg
(Paul) Studts of Norfolk, Pamela Ruff of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley Albro of
Bremerton, Wash., Emma Lee Worthen of Salem, Ark., and sister-in-law, Vernal
Elliott of Denver. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Steve; two brothers and one
sister.

Jerry was born on Nov. 25, 1924 in rural McCool Junction, to Thomas and Lola
(Cool) Elliott.  He worked as a mechanic at Consolidated Blenders in York and
then at Sperry New Holland in Lexington.  He was united in marriage to Florence
P. Wilson on July 14, 1946 at Beatrice.  Jerry enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles
and was an avid reader.
