Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 7601 Vine Street, Lincoln. A Rosary service will be 6:30 pm Tuesday at the church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Rosary and Mass at the church. Burial will be 3:30 pm Wednesday at St. Leonard’s Cemetery in Madison. Jack was born near Fullerton on May 8, 1930. He was a graduate of the Madison High School Class of 1947 and in October of 1950 he married Mary Ann McGill. He is survived by his sons, David (Kate) of Valentine, Gary (Linda) Major of Eagle, father Steve, of Beatrice; his daughters, Patricia (Woody) Wimberley of St. Croix Falls, Wis., Joan (Joseph) Ciolino of Gloucester, Mass., and Peggy (Keith) Krentz of Granger, Iowa. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Norma (Martin) Deets and Verna Brogan of Madison and his brother Kenneth (Katy) Major of Sioux City, Iowa. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Adelaide Schmitz and Mary Jean McGill, and brothers-in law Richard (Sarah) McGill. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and their families who remember him with great love. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; his son, D. Michael; daughter, Mary; one granddaughter, Melissa and one sister, Esther (Major) Zessin.
