Ronald Robert Lewis, age 89, of Ruskin, died March 13, 2008 at the Thayer 
County Hospital in Hebron.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Bethany Lutheran 
Church in Ruskin, with Rev. Evelyn Phillips officiating. Inter-ment was in the 
Spring Creek Cemetery at Ruskin.

Survivors include his wife, Lois of Ruskin; sons, Robert of Columbus, and 
friend Carol Billesbach of Lincoln; and Richard (Susan) of Lincoln; and one 
daughter, Jeannie (Paul) Homan of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Amy Lewis, 
Jordan Homan, Sam Homan, AJ Homan, Sally Homan, Sarah Lewis and Taylor Lewis; 
and one brother, Marvin (Virginia) Lewis of Ruskin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda; brother, Earl 
Lewis, Jr. and one sister, Letha Joy.

Ronald was born on Nov. 15, 1918 to Earl and Lena (Holly) Lewis, on a farm 
southwest of Ruskin. Ronnie was one of four children. He attended the rural 
District #2 and graduated from Ruskin High School in 1936. He was baptized and 
confirmed on May 21, 1950 at Bethany Lutheran Church by Immanuel Petersen. 

On Jan. 23, 1944, he was united in marriage to Lois Noblitt at Hastings. To 
this union four children were born.
