John D. Beck, age 25, of Nebraska City died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in 
Nebraska City.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 10, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gude 
Mortuary in Nebraska City with the Rev. Jeff Kelley of the First United 
Methodist Church officiating. Following the services, the family will gather 
at Gage Hall at First United Methodist Church in Nebraska City for a time of 
lunch and fellowship.  

The family will greet friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at the Gude 
Mortuary in Nebraska City.

Survivors include his parents, David and Rita of Wellesley, Mass.; maternal 
grandparents, Don and Irene Lahm of Lexington; paternal grandparents, Allen 
and Helen Beck of Orangevale, Calif,; aunts and uncles, Ruby (Roger) Isler and 
Dona Major of Jamestown, N.D.; Susan (Tom) Gillespie of Long Beach, Calif., 
and Gretchen Bustured of Kentfield, Calif.

John was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.

He was born June 21, 1982 in Columbus, the son of David Allen and Rita Ilene 
(Lahm) Beck. 

John attended Alexander High School in Richardson, Texas and graduated with 
the class of 2001.
