Carol Everett Gimple, 69 years of age, of Bertrand, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 
2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Memorial services for Carol E. Gimple will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, 
Sept. 30, 2010 at the Elwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Connie Karr 
officiating. 

Inurnment will be held in the Elwood Cemetery in Elwood.

There will be no visitation as the family is honoring Carol’s wish for 
cremation.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1941 in Ft. Collins, Colo., in a migrant shack, to 
Leonard W. and Mae (Ross) Gimple.

He was employed by area hay mills where he worked as a truck driver. He 
retired from work in 1995 when the Central Alfalfa Plant in Lexington closed.
He was a member of the Lexington Eagles Club where he enjoyed attending dances.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his step-mother, Beverly Fuqua; one brother, 
Sherman Gimple and one sister, Cindy (Tony) Galusha, all of Bertrand; three 
nieces, one nephew, four great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by his father and mother; one sister, Shirley 
Spaulding and one nephew, Allen Wayne.
