Connie Marie Young, 63, of Holdrege, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday, May 
13, 2008, at Bryan LGH East Medical Center in Lincoln, following a battle with 
Guillaian-Barre Syndrome.

Services will be Saturday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home 
in Lexington, with Pastor Victor Diaz officiating. Burial will be in the 
Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

Visitation was held Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in 
Lexington. 

Survivors include her children, James Colburn of Staplehurst, Jerome (Teresa) 
Colburn of Overton, Cheri Colburn of Colorado Springs, Colo., Chris Young of 
Hartford, Conn., Stephanie Young (Rigoberto Chavez) of Lexington; 
stepchildren, Catherine (Allen) Brush of North Bend, James (Holly) Colburn, 
Jr. of Pensacola, Fla, Richard (Valee) Colburn of Lexington, Okla.; one 
sister, Mary Ann (David) Kline of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Connie’s 
significant other, David Ogg of Holdrege; 21 grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.
  
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, many aunts and 
uncles; husband, James F. Colburn, Sr.; stepson, William H. Colburn and 
granddaughter, Morgann Brush. 
 
Connie was born March 21, 1945, at Lexington, to Lloyd and Jessie (Love) 
Meyer. She graduated from high school in Evans, Colo., with the class of 
1965.  She met James Colburn, Sr. and three children were blessed to this 
union.  In 1971, she married Steve Young and two children were blessed to this 
union.
