The Columbus Journal (Columbus, NE) Wednesday October 26, 1892

Mrs. G. W. Stevens returned Sunday week from
California, where she had been sojourning since
last December. She likes the country, especially
the climate, very much, although at times it is
dry and dusty. She thinks that when water shall
have been generally provided for irrigation, the
country will be rapidly settled, and be very
productive. She expects to remain in the city
five or six weeks.
