Nebr.. This old Pioneer Cemetery gets it's name from this creek, which is just below the bluff of the cemetery. It is better know as Carr Cemetery, for the man who gave the land, but is registered at the court house as Clear Creek Cemetery. He was born 28 Jan. 1840. The was the son of Tunis and Ann Smith Lippencott, natives of Ireland. He was 3 months when his family moved to Pa. On the 12th of Sept 1861 he enlisted in Co. C. 140 Pa. Volunteer Infrantry, for serice in the Civil War. He came to Sauners Co. in 1884 and moved to Memphis in 1911. In jUne 1867, He married Miss Margaret Ross, daul of William And Ann Ross natives of Pa.
