Beverly “Bev” Streeter, 79, of Cabool, Mo., formerly of Elm Creek, died 
Monday, March 1, 2010 at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo.

Inurnment and services pending at a later date.

She was born Nov. 3, 1930 in Minatare to Floyd and Edith (Bamrick) Wilder. She 
graduated from Overton High School in 1948.

In 1951, Bev married Chet Streeter and to this union was blessed a son, Steven 
and a daughter, Cherryle.

Bev worked in many aspects of food service; she also worked in the cafeteria 
at the Eaton Corporation and later in the plant where she retired in 1994. In 
1998 she moved to Cabool to be closer to her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. 

Bev enjoyed cooking, sewing quilts and reading. Her favorite past times were 
spending time with her family, especially watching the animals in the pasture. 
Bev participated in Relay for Life during the past five years when she was 
able and was a breast cancer survivor.

Bev is survived by her son, Steven (Judy) Streeter of Tavares, Fla.; her 
daughter, Cherryle (Phil) Pitt of Cabool, Mo.; a sister, Darlene (Don) Allen 
of Overton; three brothers, Edwin Wilder of Franklin, Don (Joann) Wilder of 
Kearney, Jack (Joyce) Wilder of Holdrege; three grandchildren, Tracy 
(Danielle) Pitt, Tera (Kevin) Stertz and Dawn Daniels; six great-grandchildren 
and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Wilder in 2000 and a 
grandson, Travis Pitt in 1993.
